Sprout Merge collects nothing. There is no network, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Your grid, sunlight, and stats are saved on your device only, and never leave it.
Sprout Merge saves the following on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage:
Sunlight accrues passively based on real time elapsed since you last had the app open — this is calculated entirely on your device by comparing the current time to the saved timestamp, capped at 8 hours of catch-up. No clock synchronization or network call is involved. This information is held in the app's private storage on your iPhone. It is not transmitted anywhere, and the developer cannot see it.
Reset progress in the app clears your grid, sunlight, and stats instantly. Deleting the app removes everything else along with it. Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no copy elsewhere for anyone to delete — there is no account to close and no server-side copy to request the deletion of.
If you have iCloud or iTunes device backups enabled, your device backup may include Sprout Merge's saved data, the same as any other app. That backup is controlled by Apple and your Apple Account settings, not by this app.
Sprout Merge has no accounts and collects nothing from anyone. It contains no objectionable content and is suitable for all ages.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
